I workout because…

I sure do eat a lot. I missed my workout yesterday since I came home from work exhausted and went straight to bed. I workout double today, I did my crossfit this morning and just finished hill and strength training now. Yup, good excuse to eat that chocolate covered almonds for snacks. 

Ps: last workday tomorrow then long weekend… You know what it means??? Food! Lol. Must do that 16km, hope that sun shines.

Motivation

I Got one more month before my first half-marathon race. I’m training good but not hard enough to get where I want to be. Time to re-motivate myself.

Day 1

I have come to a decision, I’ll be doing the half-marathon but I won’t sign up till close to the race. I found an 8-week beginner’s guide from pinterest that looks doable so I’ll be doing that. Also, I’ll add more strength training, hill climb, and intervals after which is another 4 weeks before the race. 

Today was rest day, but I decided to do a 50min Cardio and 10min abd workout instead. I figured since I’ve been idle last weekend that I need to booze myself somehow. Sort of like, a big baby step.

Day 1

This is it! No more excuses! This is the body I want. No, no, no… This is the body I NEED! I may be juggling work and school in a fast pace for the the next couple of years but that doesn’t mean I have to neglect myself to become stronger, right? I know I’m right! I owe it to myself. So here’s my workout challenge: I will fight to get stronger and better body. I will work hard for it. I will put the same hardwork as I put into my work and school.

Nothing tastes as good as plyometrics.

I’d like to say this but truthfully it has a bittersweet taste to me. I often make plyo-day my butt-kick day, and today is that kind of day. After being inactive for about a month, I deserve it. To my surprise, I didn’t do too badly, there were few times I had to stop because I’m feeling a little lightheaded but overall I was able to push myself. Yehey me!

Btw, after signing up for Color Me Rad yesterday I am now debating if I should do the Subaru half-marathon at the end of May or do the Spartan Sprint in August. I can’t decide because of my overwhelming busy schedule but I’m more determine to do either one this year. I really want to push myself. Any comments?

Getting back

Although the snow outside doesn’t help yes, I have to start running again. I have to get back to my routine. I had too many fat days last month and to think about it I should have taken good care of myself then coz it was heart month. Argh. It’s ok, it’s nutrition month this time so I can start with that. I have to start training for half-marathon too if I really want to do it this year.
