Calgary Stampede 2014
Late post. A few of my favorite pictures with a few of my favorite people.
Black leather skirt
So lady-like! Although, I would totally wear this with some badass booties for punk vibe or a pair of sneakers for sporty look. Yeah!!!!
I always ask the boy for something Tiffany, this is what he got me. A Tiffany blue bike! Close?! Yes? No?
Hermes Garden Party
Omg, I almost gave in to this… I was one click away to buying it. To be continued when I get my degree. I promise!!!!
I can’t believe I finally did it!!! I did the crow and tripod. I’ve been dreaming of making it for years but my arms were just too weak to do it then. After numerous times of practicing (really… falling) I made it to holding the poses for more than 5 seconds. Next step… Headstand. 😳
Curled my hair over the weekend. Yehey! I have this fascination of curling my hair when I go out or do something fancy but this time I just felt like doing it. I felt somewhat overdress so I threw on a ball cap. Cute… Lol. I didn’t actually wear the ball cap all day but I thought it was a cool juxtaposition to my whole outfit.
Calgary Marathon 2014
We officially finished our first marathon (4:26:19). We had an amazing time.
Happy Mother’s Day to my very own Mama! I may not call you right back or come see you often but know that my love for you will always be there no matter what. Thank you for teaching me to be strong, to be patience, and to become determine in life. #mothersday #supermom #lookalike #iloveyoumom
New purchases: Mizuno running shoes
I had my gait analysis done last week and I found out in wearing wrong shoes. Wtf!!! All this time I though my Brooks were great but the tech said I don’t need too much stability with shoes and I’m a midfoot striker which made my Brooks a no-no. Oh well, it was still a good news since that means I can buy shoes again. Lol. I can’t settle between the Enigma (pink, white, green with black logo) and the Sayonara (white, print, green with purple logo) so I bought both :P I used both on long runs but I’ll say I’m still getting used to them.
Sayonara - used during my 34k long run
Pros - Very light with wide toe box (my toes can breathe and wiggle around), hugs my feet from the arches to heels.
Cons - close to 30k I started feeling my joints and my feet hurting.
Enigma - used during my 30k long run
Pros - amazing colours (I think it makes me run faster, jk lol), somewhat light (feels light at first). hugs my feet from toes to heel.
Cons - it felt heavy after 21k but tolerable. Hugs my feet too much (my feet swells up during long run and the shoes felt tight then), the cut is too high especially on the L shoe that it rubs into my malleolus bone (only when walking… Weird right?)
