Ok, so it’s hard to be enthusiastic about running when you’re in pain or tired from a long day at work, and its so easy to get distracted with everything that is going on, but that’s life, in general. You got to push through, and if doesn’t work, try ways around it or do it some other time. Sometimes it’s just the timing!
I was supposed to do my trial run last Sunday but it didn’t happen, then comes Monday and was only able to do 10k (mind you I kept my time for that one), and then today, Tuesday, I’m hurting (my right knee which I think is my IT band and the outer part of my left foot which I think is my tendon) but I decided I should do it, besides I’m not losing anything. In the end, I surpassed my expected time of 2:30-3:00 with 2:10 on the dot. WHat???!!! I freaking love myself now! Lol. Now, I just have to keep pushing myself maybe, 2hrs for the race day? What do you think? Haha, I’m overconfident right now but so what, all I have to do is try and maybe I’ll beat my time today by at least a second.
So for those who think they can’t do it because your tired, busy, or lazy… one piece of advice is… TRY! Even a small step counts, when you’re done I guarantee you’ll feel better about yourself (although you may not feel like it).
