I workout because…

I sure do eat a lot. I missed my workout yesterday since I came home from work exhausted and went straight to bed. I workout double today, I did my crossfit this morning and just finished hill and strength training now. Yup, good excuse to eat that chocolate covered almonds for snacks.

Ps: last workday tomorrow then long weekend… You know what it means??? Food! Lol. Must do that 16km, hope that sun shines.

Plyometrics Strong

Did plyo with the bf today. It’s funny I sent him a fit motivation and I was the one who was feeling like skipping our session today. I guess I was the one who needed that motivation. So happy someone is there to push me. Thanks bf!

7 miles

The bf and I managed to run 7.60miles today, yey! Not a bad long run. I love running with him even though we don’t really talk to each other or run side-by-side.

Outside

Brrr… I survived my first run outside. I didn’t know it was that cold and I went out wearing Capri pants and light layer. Oh well, what really bothered me was the wind. It felt like it was pushing me back but other than that it was really good. Tomorrow again?!

Btw, I love my bf’s Garmin that’s all :)

Tough love

It’s my day 4 of starting back on exercise routine. Actually, I don’t have a routine yet. I just do it when I’m done eating and have nothing else to watch like really late at night. It’s been really tough. I tried waking up early in the morning (as I used to) to do my run but I just can’t seem to get my body off the bed. Argh. But I’m still managing to do what needs to be done (except my studies… Tick tock). Anyway, I’m done day 3 of my training calendar which is strength training. I’m also doing this 30-day crossfit challenge which I did day 2 today (1/2 mile + 50 squats x 3 sets). My legs felt like jello and I felt nauseous. The bf said I’m pushing myself too hard but I’m not… I’m not near where I was before. But I shouldn’t be too hard on myself besides I’m only starting back. I’m really determine to make this work, make everything work better this time.

Half-marathon

Here’s a crazy idea… Doing a half-marathon training in 8 weeks!!! Just in time for the Scotiabank Marathon’s 50th year :). I know it’s quite a rush decision but sometimes in life, we make decisions that are absolutely crazy but in the end it turns out to be best decisions (or not)! Well I’ll be doing the best I can to do this and if it turn out that my condition doesn’t allow it then I’ll step back and gladly do 10k.

Btw, it’s my day two of running. I’m not really in the mood to run today but I did manage a 2.75m in 45mins. Considering I did 3.25m in 29:40 yesterday, it was a bit disappointing but I shouldn’t be too hard on myself, right? Besides, I ran incline/interval today plus sideways and backwards on the treadmill… quite scary but fun. I really felt like I’m working out my abs and legs more.

Tomorrow is the start of everything.
- I’ll start day 2 of the training plan.
- I’ll start back on clean diet
- and I’ll start of my 2 courses

I’m quite ambitious, eh?

Ripped

I’m totally in-love with boyfriend jeans. My first pair was from F21 about 5 years ago and since then I got myself 3 more. This is the one from Zara I got last year. It is my most ripped and baggy pair (2 sizes bigger) and they are literally like sweat pants during my fat days. What do you wear on your fat days?

Running season

So I haven’t been running for about 6 months now since I have been dealing with some health issues. At first, I was experiencing dry eyes and dry mouth. It was controlled with eye drops and constant hydration but it got to the point that my joints started getting achy and stiff too. plus, I have an ongoing pain in my diaphragm and feeling like I can’t catch my breathe. I went to my doctor and got referred to specialists. First, I got diagnosed with Sjögren’s syndrome, query if it is primary or secondary to Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Then, I got diagnosed with hiatus hernia. My specialists told me to lessen running for a while but since then I was too scared that my condition will get worst, I just omit doing anything that involve cardio. I have been doing hot yoga once and awhile and watching what I’m eating (sometimes). As a result, I lost weight but also lost tone. Don’t be fooled, I may be skinny but I’m not healthy! So last Thursday was my follow up appointment with my GI specialist, good news is I don’t need surgery and I can get back to running. Bad news, I’m not to do any long distance running since it can worsen the placement of hernia plus if this worsen I need to redo all my tests in 6 months.

Anyway, I may have to do 10k for the Calgary Marathon this year instead of the full marathon I planned before but I’m just so happy to be able to run again.
